Technical information
Cable trays and busbar runs are braced laterally and longitudinally with the same channel struts and hinged connectors used for pipes, fixed to the tray side rail instead of a pipe clamp.
GB 50981-2014 sets the brace requirement at electrical conduit larger than 60 mm internal diameter and at cable tray, trunking or busbar runs weighing 150 N/m or more.
