Seismic Brace Assembly for Pipes
Lateral and longitudinal sway brace for suspended pipework, made from slotted channel, a pipe clamp and hinged connectors anchored to the structure.
Application
Water Supply and Drainage Systems
Domestic water, drainage and heating pipework carried on adjustable channel supports and braced where the code requires it.
Water and drainage pipe runs need supports that can be set to the required fall and adjusted after the pipe is in place. Channel frames with bolted fittings allow that adjustment without cutting or welding.
Where the pipe size reaches the code threshold, the same run is braced laterally and longitudinally with channel struts and pipe clamps.
Technical basis
- GB 50981-2014 sets the seismic bracing threshold for domestic water and fire-protection piping at DN65 and above.
- GB 50242-2002 is the construction quality acceptance code for water supply and drainage works.
